課程概述

This course covers transport processes of momentum, and energy from a macroscopic view with emphasis both on understanding why matter behaves as it does and on developing practical problem-solving skills. Beside from the lecturing, we will spend quality time on discussion (English speaking only), experiment and visualization in the class.

課程目標
This course is an introduction to the principal concepts and methods of heat transfer. The objectives of this integrated subject are to develop the fundamental principles and laws of heat transfer and to explore the implications of these principles for system behavior; to formulate the models necessary to study, analyze and design heat transfer systems through the application of these principles; to develop the problem-solving skills essential to good engineering practice of heat transfer in real-world applications.
課程要求
Get familar with Calculus, and Fluidic Dynamic materials. We will spend quality time on discussion, please be prepared for English speaking enviorment.

Class Policy
1. Demonstrate respect for yourself and other students. Avoid disruptive behavior and work quietly.
2. Come to class on time. If despite your best effort, you arrive late, please quietly take a seat at the back of the classroom.
3. Bring your student ID to exams. Cell phones or any other unnecessary electronic device should be turned off and put away during exams. Try to use the restroom before coming to exams. If you need to use the restroom, we have no other choice but to ask you to turn in your answer sheet.
